Association of students of the Faculty of economics
One of the organizations which operate at the Faculty of Economics is Association of Students of the Faculty of Economics. The association is an interest organization of all students of the Faculty of Economics in Banja Luka. The main aim of the association is to protect students’ interests and enable students to give in an organized way a full contribution to improvement of standards and conditions of students’ life and work. It includes activities through which students can exercise their rights, the rise of student standards and in particular improvement of the quality and conditions in the performance of the teaching process and curriculum. In addition, activities in professional training and development of students are conducted targeting at competitive professional education.
The structure of the Association consists of the Assembly and the Presidency. The Assembly is the highest authority in the structure of the organization. It consists of students’ representatives elected from all years of studies, 5 from each year. The work of the Assembly is managed by the Assembly President of the Association.
The Presidency represents the executive body of the Association, and is composed of: president, two vice presidents, student vice dean, secretary, and sector managers. Student vice dean makes proposals to the Association and represents the direct connection of students with professors and other staff.
Specific activities are conducted through the sectors led by their managers. Currently the following sectors operate:

Association of Students is a full member of the Yugoslav Association of Students of the Faculties of Economics - JASEF. JASEF gathers in one place students from associations of all Faculties of Economics from Serbia, Montenegro and the Republic of Srpska.
Within the association, a students’ newspaper “THE ECONOMIST” is published. All students of the Faculty of Economics can participate in editing, regardless their year of studies. The newspaper circulation is 1000 copies and it is free for the students of the Faculty of Economics.
